Do you have a beginner’s course or on-ramp program?


Yes! We have the Urban Foundation package which gives you 1-month unlimited access to Urban Bootcamp classes and 2 x 1-hour personal training (PT) sessions to learn basic weightlifting movements for Crossfit (squats, deadlifts, presses, cleans and snatches). The aim is to ensure you can confidently and safely perform these movements in preparation for our regular Crossfit WODs. Progress assessment is done by the coach before you can join Urban WODs and you may require additional PT sessions (see “Personal Training” section for more info).

*Not required for regular Crossfitters who have at least 3 months of experience.
*PT sessions are scheduled between you and the coach during non-class times.
*Fee is 300SGD

What is your Drop In Policy?

Members of out-of- town CrossFit affiliates are welcome to drop in to any of our normally scheduled group coaching sessions for 35 SGD per visit! The joy of CrossFit has always been in the community of amazing individuals, and we never want to lose sight of that. If you would like to stay for multiple days or weeks, give us a call or email and we’ll get you situated with a temporary membership.

Does Urban Edge have showers and towel service?

Yes! Our box is equipped with showers for your convenience. Sweat towel and bath towel are available for rent only.

Do you guys sell shirts and merchandise?

Yes! We have awesome apparel and useful merchandise for sale at Urban Edge to purchase in person.

Do you accept cash, NETS and credit cards?

Yes we accept cash, nets and credit card. Credit card payments incur a surcharge of approximately 3.3% per transaction.

If I have an injury, can I still come in and workout with scaled movements?

It depends on the nature of your injury. If the injury is severe and a medical professional has advised you to take some time off to recuperate, we recommend you follow their advice. If it’s a minor injury, we are usually able to modify the workout for you to train around your injury and ensure a speedy recovery. Consult a coach or our resident Chiro Doctor if you are unsure.

What is the difference between Urban WOD, Power WOD and Urban Foundation?


Urban WOD is for regular members and usually lasts about 1 hour. The class starts with a warm up to get your blood flowing and muscles ready for the “Workout of the Day” (WOD). Followed by a skill or strength session where you work on a particular lift or gymnastic movement to improve your strength and technique. The real fun begins with the WOD itself. These are highly intensive workouts, usually lasting between 10 and 20 minutes, all designed to push your strength, cardio-respiratory fitness, endurance & performance.

Urban Foundation is for beginners and usually last about 1 hour. Done in small groups. This foundation series involves highly personalized training and assessment led by our head coach & resident chiro Jeff and supported by our assistant head coach Eric. Utilizing their knowledge & expertise in human physiology & personal training, our coaches will ensure our Urbanites have maximum confidence in terms of technique, safety & efficacy before graduating to our regular classes. Progress assessment is done every class by the coach.

Power WOD is for regular members and is designed to give you maximum workout efficiency during lunch break. Get in, get out and back to work energized in 30 mins.

I’m new to Urban Edge; how do I read the whiteboard?

You will learn how to read the whiteboard during your Fundamentals course, but of course feel free to ask your group coach if you ever have trouble understanding what’s written on the board. You should also be aware that there is always room to individualize the prescribed workouts based on your particular strengths, weaknesses and goals.

What kind of meals should I eat before and after working out?

Your nutritional strategy will largely vary depending on your desired goals and outcomes for your training. Our coaches are well-educated and experienced in helping members of our community with nutritional guidance. Simply ask one of us and we’ll be happy to help you out!
